Africa Union Cargo is the investor, operator and facilitator of the Zambian Dry Port within Namport. We mainly operate with cargo handling, clearing and forwarding and logistics.
We have, however, in 2017 and 2018 made great efforts to form partnerships with companies to enhance the use of the Walvis Bay, Lusaka, Ndola, Lubumbashi Corridor. It is our aim to further increase the throughput of cargo and increase business in the port of Walvis Bay, mainly working with Zambia and the DRC. We work hand in hand with both the WALVIS BAY CORRIDOR GROUP and NAMPORT to further enhance Walvis Bay as the cargo hub for Africa to the Globe.
We opened our new premises in conjunction with signing our agreement with the State - Owned Organization - OGEFREM from the DRC to manage, monitor and control DRC cargo (Import & Export) via the port of Walvis Bay on the 25th of June, 2018.
We also have a Joint Venture partnership with Jiangsu Golden Coast in China to offer a port to port solution for logistics between the port of Walvis Bay and Rugao and Xinmin Zhou Ports on the Yang Tze River in China and with their head office in the city of Shanghai. The Joint Venture between AFRICA UNION CARGO & JIANGSU GOLDEN COAST is registered as SINO AFRICA UNION INTERNATIONAL TRADE LINK.
Not only do we have our new AUC headquarters in the building but also a dedicated space for our partnership companies, OGEFREM & SINO AFRICA UNION INTERNATIONAL TRADE-LINK.
We are located on the corner of Theo Ben Gurirab Street & 10th Road, Walvis Bay, Namibia.
